Storyville Races for the Cure

March 7, 2009 by Elizabeth Harvey

Today, Storyville Runners Josh Ford, Maggie Conarro, and I ran in Baton Rouge's largest 5k - the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure along with thousands of others.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning and thousands of runners gathered on LSU's campus in order to do a nice jaunt around our beautiful campus. Josh was out there early chalking up the streets and cheering on all the runners! Survivor Master of Ceremonies and WAFB TV anchor Donna Britt even gave Storyville a shout out as she led the Survivor's Parade through the crowd - she waved to us and said "Hey, it's the t-shirt people. Yay Storyville!" Nice.  We love us some Donna Britt.

It was so good to see so many Baton Rougeans turn out for an amazing cause!  And who knows? Maybe Greg Moser will even show up next year.
