See the YouTube video of Billy Cannon's famous run!

October 7, 2007 by Josh Harvey

First of all, congratulations to the LSU Tigers who defeated the Florida Gators Saturday night in an epic game.  Tim Tebow and the defending national champion Gators played a heck of a game, but in the end, the brilliance (and cojones gigantes) of Les Miles coupled with the magic of Tiger Stadium lifted the Tigers to victory.

If you were watching the game Saturday night, you probably saw the shout-out that CBS gave to LSU legend Billy Cannon .  CBS even showed Billy Cannon's famous punt return against Ole Miss on October 31, 1959.  During the run, Billy scampered 89 yards for a touchdown, breaking seven tackles.  It was the only touchdown of the game, resulting in a 7-3 victory for LSU in Tiger Stadium.

If you haven't seen the footage, to see something miraculous... history in the making.

How can I obtain the audio of the play-the one LSU fans used to play for Jake Gibbs when would go to the baseball mound?
