Happy Mardi Gras from Storyville!

February 16, 2010 by Natalie Naquin Harvey

We know you haven't heard from us in awhile, and for that we're truly sorry. But things have been a little hectic around here lately, as you may already know.

We haven't posted since January 13, when we announced the exciting news that we're moving our Austin shop to South Congress in June. Since then, we've battled the NFL over the phrase " Who Dat" (and won) with a lot of help from the people of New Orleans , Elizabeth Harvey jetted off to Italy , the New Orleans Saints won Superbowl XLIV , Gabriel Harvey ran the Austin Marathon on Valentine's Day , and now, finally, all the craziness of the past month will culminate today with Mardi Gras .

Due to the little kerfuffle with the NFL, Storyville was featured in the Wall Street Journal , ESPN , Headline News , The Times-Picayune , The Advocate in Baton Rouge , and many, many more via The Associated Press .

If you want to read up on it, check out the on the subject .

It's been a busy few weeks for us, but we aren't going to slow down anytime soon. We're gearing up for St. Patrick's Day , the Third Ever Storyville Fashion Show (March 27) in Baton Rouge and the launch of the Storyville Screen Printing shop in New Orleans.

So keep checking the Storyville Times for updates -- I promise we'll update much more frequently. After all, since Elizabeth has christened herself Creative Director , I'm christening myself New Media Director . Not to be confused with Old Media, which, obviously, Josh will handle.

If you aren't already following us on Twitter , do so now -- @WearYourStory . And, of course, each of our shops has a Facebook fan page. We'll be updating those regularly with announcements, new designs and specials.

It's an exciting time for Storyville, and if the first month and a half of 2010 is any indication, it's going to be a big year -- nay, decade -- for us!
